Second Baby Bumpdate: Week 38

I'm 38.5 weeks along and I'm going to be induced in three days! I can't believe it. The third trimester has really drug on but at the same time I can't believe it's already here. The baby is looking good. They expect he'll be about 6.5 pounds at birth which is just great by me. I'm going in on Friday morning at 7 AM to be induced. We're having my sister in law stay with Everly and we're hoping baby will come in the afternoon and all will be well so Sam can come home for the night with Everly. We'll see how it all goes! I was induced with Everly but I wasn't given Pitocin because my labor went very quickly with her. This time they are starting me off with Pitocin so I'm nervous to see how my body reacts to it.

I've been feeling pretty good. Uncomfortable and tired of course but overall I actually feel good. I'm anxious for the baby to get here and just hope everything goes smoothly. We still don't know what we're going to name him and we feel a little stressed out about it. We're hoping that we'll just know what his name should be when he is born. Haha it might be wishful thinking.

 Last Saturday my sister in law threw me a shower (she's also pregnant!). It was so much fun! It was pretty relaxed and mostly just family came. She did such a good job though and it turned out really cute. We got tons of new boy clothes and blankets. I washed them all yesterday and it made it feel so real. This is happening.

 My best friend Carissa drove five hours from Boise to make it to my shower. She's awesome!!

I think Sam and I are ready for a new little guy to join the family. I feel a sense of pressure to get so much stuff done but I really can't think of what we need to do. There's a lot to think about when getting ready for a new baby especially with Everly on top of everything else but I think we're in good shape. We're excited for him to get here and can't wait to meet him.
