Our little Theo turned one on us about a month ago! It's so crazy. He's been an active one year old for sure! He loves being outside and playing ball. Since we went to Hawaii in March and Theo loved the beach I decided to throw him a big Hawaiian themed luau for his birthday.
His actual birthday was on a Saturday. It's a Hunt tradition to make the birthday person pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. So I've kind of tried to keep that tradition alive. We opened presents and had breakfast. Theo was a little nervous about unwrapping his presents. Everly pretty much took over for him (which was funny because on Everly's birthday he didn't have a problem with her presents!). We had a few errands to run in the morning. But the local butcher shop was having customer appreciation day so we went over there for hot dogs, soda and cotton candy! We took Theo to the park with a new ball and let him play around. The river runs right behind the park so of course Theo wanted to play in the river a bit. That night we got a pizza and took the family to the drive-in movie for the kids first drive-in experience.
For his birthday party we did Hawaiian theme. We had recently returned from a trip to Hawaii and both the kids loved it so much I thought it would be a fun theme. I think the party turned out super fun. We played some yard games and most of the family got involved and had a good time together.
