Park City Showcase of Homes

Sam and I have always enjoyed going to the Parade of Homes. I can count nine Parade of Homes that we've attended all over the state just since we've been married. We've wanted to see the Park City Showcase of Homes for a few years now and it just hasn't worked out schedule wise. This year we were able to attend! We even took Everly and were still able to see all 15 of the 19 homes that we wanted to see. She was a trooper (it really was a miracle!!).
Of course Sam really gets in to it because he loves the architecture and I love it because I love to dream:) I'm sharing my two favorite homes that we saw. We actually liked almost all of the homes we saw. The Showcase is still going on through Labor Day so I recommend going to check it out. It was much less crowded than the Salt Lake and St. George Parade of Homes we've been to and it just seemed all around more quiet and relaxed.

First off is home number six. It's located in Silver Creek Estates which is outside of Park City headed toward the Coalville area. This home was quietly tucked in towards the hills on several acres.

Quick Facts
Square Footage: 6,817
Price: $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 (because those numbers are so close together!)
Bed/Bath: 5/3.5

As you can tell by the square footage it's a modestly sized home..haha...right?! There was a large unfinished basement so that adds to the square footage. When you walk in the entry, you see beautiful views out the back windows. You're eyes are immediately drawn to the windows, which I just love. We were there in the evening and the sunlight was just gorgeous in the home. The home also had a barn on the property that was so stinking' cute!

Entry

The below left picture is a picture of the back windows you see when you walk in the house but I took this picture upstairs and not at the front door.

Office
The built in bookshelves in the office were gorgeous. So was the desk!

Main Living Area:
Forgive my interesting photography skills..I was trying to get pictures without random Joe's in them.

Master Suite
Aren't the windows and natural light just amazing in this natural suite. Oh, I loved it!

Kitchen

Upstairs
The upstairs was very open and spacious. There was a walkway open to below. On one side there were two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bath. The other side had a nice big family area as well as a game area with two more bedrooms and another bath.

Mudroom and Garage
Every home we saw had a mudroom. I guess when you live in Park City you need a mudroom. This one was very simple. I also loved all the cute windows throughout the home. Even the garage had really cute windows!

So this home was my favorite home. Number 13, the next home I'm highlighting I loved so much and it's what I thought I wanted style wise. But I was surprised that it didn't feel like home to me when we walked through it. This home however, number six, felt like home. I loved the warm woods and open feel. It was a huge house but it didn't feel big. I liked the windows and natural light and they layout seemed practical to us.

Lucky home number 13! When looking through the homes in this year's showcase, I thought for sure this would be my favorite. It's the style I love and it's what I thought I wanted. As I said before, when we walked through the house I was surprised that I didn't feel 'at home' like I had in house number six. BUT.....I still love, love, love this home. It was beautiful and simple and elegant and everything you could want that is if you have more than $2,000,000 for a home.

Quick Facts
Square Footage: 6,275
Price: More than $2,000,000
Bed/Bath: 5/6

I didn't get a picture of the outside of this home. This sketch will just have to do!

Entry
The picture below is outside the font door. I loved this chandelier!! You can't really tell from the picture, but the picture of the door is the front door view from inside the home. I loved how they had white painted brick as the wall texture.

Family Room and Kitchen
This area was so open. I loved the contrast of the white plank ceiling with the beautiful wood beams. The kitchen was gorgeous with beautiful cabinets with lighting under the sink, a huge pantry and a very cute sink.

 Master Suite
The master simple but very elegant.

Play Area
This little play room had a bathroom across the hall with the cutest sink.

 Mother-in-Law Suite
The upstairs also included a mother-in-law suite equipped with anything you would need! There was a washer/dryer area, a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and a small family area.

Other

The washer and dryer for the main family area was just off the kitchen. It had a large island in the room and was also a craft room. I've added a picture of one of the other three bedrooms in the home to get a feel of them. I loved the outdoor lights, I thought they were so cute. The porch was really fun as well with this swing!  On a side note, I found out this was a vacation property! Wow!
