Everly turned two on June 1! Luckily she's two because that's the only number she can say. It's pretty cute. She also things baby is named two (we call him Theo or Teo a lot). For her second birthday it started out the night before. We let her open her big birthday present which was a new trike. Sam got it all set up and she rode around outside for quite a while. The next morning we made blueberry pancakes and she helped me cook which is one of her favorite things. She then helped me make her birthday cake. She named her cake birthday and was saying it all day long. We went to see Sam in Park City for lunch. When we got home we frosted the cake and played. I made Shepherds Pie for dinner and after dinner we took her to this bounce house place called Kangaroo Zoo. We thought she would love it because she loves to jump and hop. Turns out she's really scared of bounce houses. The place was basically empty and I thought that'd be perfect because then she wouldn't be scared of big kids. NOPE! She refused to go inside. Sam finally coaxed her in one of the bounce houses and she lasted about 30 seconds. So we ended up leaving and going home for cake and presents.
We held her birthday party on Saturday June 3. We had a pool party at the local rec center. Last summer she loved swimming and getting in the pool. So I thought it would work out perfectly to do a pool party this year. That way I don't have to host something at my house with a new baby and I won't have the stress of really planning out a party. Well it turns out this year she's terrified of the swimming pool. It took two hours to convince her to get in and it was one of her cousins who-once he got in and enjoyed it she thought it was super fun. Then she cried and cried when we had to leave...haha..two year olds! We invited all of Sam's family and my good family friends. We had a great turn out and it was so fun. We had pizza with some salads and cake and donut holes in the party room. Then we went back out and swam some more. We headed over to our house to open the gifts and visit a bit. I think Everly ended up having a really fun birthday party.
