We Got A Kitty!!

Kinda

The other evening I sat down on the couch and heard a weird noise. I didn't think anything of it (honestly I thought I had just sat down on a toy or something) and after a minute or so it was still going so I tried to figure out what it was. We have a huge sliding glass door next to our couch and I ended up looking out and seeing a kitty staring at me trying to 'meow'. It entertained the kids for quite a while just through the door. Sam went out on the deck and it was terrified of humans so he thinks it came from a stray litter. We have TONS of stray cats around here. He put some milk out for the kitty and it drank it all in no time. The kitty slept right outside our door and since Theo's had croup he cries a lot during the night. Every time he cried the kitten got upset.
The next morning Everly named the kitten PeePee. We gave it some more milk and just chased it around the yard for most of the day. It seriously wouldn't leave our property. Another day went by and it was still there. It sits at our door and waits for us to come out. Sam and I are both allergic to cats so we can't bring it in and keep it. We've asked so many families and no one wants it. We don't know what to do with it. I don't want to take it to the pound and I'm scared it'll die in the winter if we keep it as an outside cat. But it would be nice if it would catch the snakes and mice since we just had a snake in our house the other day.
We bought some cat food and the poor thing must have been starving! The kids have loved chasing it around, petting it and trying to feed it. It has straight up entertained my kids for hours several days in a row. No toy has ever done that so I'm pretty happy! I was able to sit in a chair in peace outside and just enjoy while the kids played. That literally never happens! I almost always have to entertain them no matter where we are or what we are doing. Not sure what's going to happen with the kitty. I've never liked cats and I never thought I'd have one. I know we probably can't keep it but we just don't know what else to do with it.
