Gender Reveal Party

I've always thought gender reveal parties are so cute! I thought it would be fun to do a small party just for our family once we found out the gender of this baby. I even kept the secret a whole week! It turned out really fun. I found a lot of the supplies at Target (I had to order online and I got free shipping). I decorated the door with some hanging cut outs that I bought at Target and a chalkboard sign that said "He or She? Come in to See!" We took down almost all of our decorations in the living room. On our main wall we put up tool and I made signs out of construction paper that said "Little Miss or Little Mister" and hung those under the tool. I covered our bookshelves with plastic table cloths and made the tissue balls on twin to hang down the bookshelves. On our desk I put a table cloth with jars of pink and blue gumballs, M & M's, and Frooties. I also made pink and blue sugar cookies in the shapes of bows and mustaches. I put together little goodie bags that I bought from Target that said Little Man or Little Miss. We had a voting station where ballots could be filled out and there were stickers for which gender you voted for. I made a little sign of wives tales for hints.

For dinner I made cheese fondue with tons of veggies, meat and bread to dip. We had pink and blue punch. After we ate, we passed out the scratch off cards I bought to reveal the gender and passed out the coins. Everyone scratched off their card to find out the gender. It was fun to have everyone involved in the actual reveal, even the kids! I think a lot of people were surprised it's a boy! Then we ate chocolate fondue with fruit, cinnamon bears, marshmallows, and pound cake. It was so fun to throw the party but I really enjoy doing that kind of stuff. I think it's so fun and it gives me something to keep me busy!
