St. George Trip

We went to St. George to spend the weekend with my family. The main reason when I planned this trip was to take my family through the St. George temple open house. So I planned that over conference weekend so we could go down to St. George and enjoy some family time. It turned out Mitchell and Sarah were there as well. My dad also flew down. The temple was so cool and I hope the kids liked the experience. It was about 95 degrees in side though and Nora refused to walk and only let me carry her. I had sweat dripping down my back. It was so hot but I'm still glad we went.

Another thing we did over the weekend was go out to visit Great Basin National Park (which was beautiful with the fall colors) and the Deseret Experimental Range where my grandpa grew up. I've been out there numerous times but this was the first time Sam and the kid went. My dad rented a 17 passenger van and (almost) all of us loaded up and went out together. We told stories of my grandpa on the way out. It was a great experience I'll never forget. But we were basically in the car for 11 hours so it was a little rough. Then we had to drive home the next day.

We went to visit my grandparents on our way home and my grandma picked pomegranates with the kids off her tree.

Overall the trip was fun but it went pretty quickly.

While we were there my parents did a photo shoot with the grandkids.
