My sister-in-law and brother-in-law LauraKay and Abe Lopez just had their first baby like two and a half hours ago!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm about to pee my pants waiting for Sam to get home from work so we can head down to American Fork to see the new baby! It's a boy! I've only seen one picture and he is adorable! He has a ton of hair! I can't wait to hold him and love him. They are going to be such great parents! I'm so happy Everly will have a cousin around her same age to play with. I can't wait to see what kind of mischief those two get in to. It's going to be adorable. I'll write more once I've met the little babe!:)
I made this little gift to take to the hospital. I was so thankful to everyone who brought me diapers especially sizes 1 and 2. So I grabbed a package of size 2 Pampers (Pampers ended up being my favorite brand for Everly because they fit her so well). I also picked up the Johnson & Johnson washcloths that have soap in them. I got these as a gift from my aunt and I just thought they were so useful.
My mother-in-law Cindy and I helped Laurie's mother-in-law and sister-in-law Betty and Becca Lopez throw a baby shower for her. I just wanted to put some pictures up because it turned out so cute. Laurie and Abe didn't find out the gender of the baby so we had some fun with that at the baby shower. I did a voting station where people can vote if they thought it was going to be a boy or girl. Then there were stickers for people to wear to show what gender they voted for. We also had the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" for the guest book for people to sign in. Sam made a calendar and I bought a foot stamp for people to stamp the day they thought the baby would be born. It was fun because her due date was October 8 but we knew the baby was coming early. We just didn't know when. Cindy made the banner and brought the rocking chair for Laurie to sit in while she opened presents.
